Website Linking Policy
Hypertext links can be found posted on the City of New Madrid website to other public and/or private organizations. The City of New Madrid provides these links solely for the users information and convenience and should not be construed as an endorsement by the city. The city administrator reserves the right to deny any and all hypertext links.
Website Submission for Calendar of Events
The City of New Madrid will post submitted items for the Calendar of Events section on the website from government agencies and non-for-profit organizations only. All Calendar of Event submissions must be received by the website administrator with lead time of no less than two weeks for an event and one month for a festival. Calendar of Event submissions should include a brief description, location, date, time, cost, contact name, and phone number for each event. It is preferred that all Calendar of Event submissions be submitted by email in Microsoft Word format. The city administrator reserves the right to deny any and all Calendar of Event submissions.
Website Submission for News Flash
The City of New Madrid will post submitted items for the News Flash section on the website from government agencies and non-for-profit organizations only. All News Flash submissions must be received by the website administrator with lead time of no less than two weeks except in the case of an emergency situation. News Flash submissions should include a brief description, location, date, time, cost, contact name, and phone number for each event. It is preferred that all News Flash submissions be submitted by email in Microsoft Word format. The city administrator reserves the right to deny any and all News Flash submissions.
Website Submission for Advertising
The City of New Madrid will post submitted items for business listings by category under the Business Directory from any business wanting their business address, telephone number and/or website link listed that have a current business license and all city taxes paid. The charge for businesses located within the city limits of New Madrid listing a business address and phone number only will be $25 per year with each additional category listing at $5 each and a listing with address, phone number, and website link will be $50 per year. For businesses outside the city limits that belong to the New Madrid Chamber of Commerce listing a business address and phone number only will be $50 per year with each additional category listing at $5 each and a listing with address, phone number, and website link will be $75 per year. For businesses outside the city limits that do not belong to the New Madrid Chamber of Commerce listing a business address and phone only will be $100 per year with each additional category listing at $5 each and a listing with address, phone number, and website link will be $150 per year.
Website Privacy Policy
- As a governmental agency, the City of New Madrid is governed by Missouri open records laws. As defined by state law, all information on the website is public information and the business conducted on the website becomes public record.
- The City of New Madrid will not rent, sell or give away any information identifying website visitors to third parties for marketing or mailing list purposes.
- Visitors who request services through the website will be required to furnish additional information in order to provide the requested service. The additional information collected will be no more specific than if the visitor were requesting the service by any other means, including by telephone or in-person at City Hall.
